Spiritus is a spinoff project of the lightweight system monitor, Conky. It's aim is to take a modular approach to displaying various system monitors, which is achieved through the use of multiple shell scripts, each outputting certain specs. These scripts can then be added, removed, and their orders changed within Conky's configuration file.
Where is it now?
As of the current date, Spiritus is no where near completion, although it is usable to some degree. There are currently a few scripts which can be displayed, but they must be manually edited into .conkyrc. Again, Spiritus is merely an idea as of now. However with further time and development, I'm hoping we can see it get further than that. You can always follow the development of the project by clicking here, which will be an up-to-date progress journal on the project, and anything from new scripts, to bug-fixes, to progress on the main program script will be posted here.
How can I help?
I'm always open to new scripts, testers, and I'm definitely interested in a GTK developer. If you're interested in any of the above, just send an email to gotti.r.jason(at)gmail.com.
What's it look like?
Right now, as there is no front-end even started, the only screenshot you're going to see here is what the scripts look like through Conky. I'm just hoping it shows the flexibility of scripting as opposed to using Conky's configuration.
